New Member Spotlight - Allison Long

Emily Merrill

My name is Allison Long. I’m from the Dallas Fort-Worth area. I began working at Zions Bank as a Portfolio Manager in the Commercial Real Estate space at the beginning of January.

I graduated from BYU in April 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. While at school, I had a wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Israel for a semester. I also enjoy service and have done several humanitarian projects around the world (India, Peru, Samoa) as well as an 18-month church volunteer trip in Southern California working primarily with the Spanish-speaking population.

My previous experience includes working at a big investment bank as well as working in management consulting. My interest in real estate sparked from my mom’s role as a realtor in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I saw her build a career from the ground up beginning with flipping houses to now working with a niche market selling land in the Texas hill country. I enjoy the tangibility of the work as well as the interaction with clients. At Zions Bank, I help to manage and analyze a portfolio of commercial real estate loans mostly in Utah and Salt Lake County as well as provide financial analysis assessing credit risk on future commercial real estate loans.

I moved to Utah in September 2017. I am excited to get to know members of the community with similar interests in Commercial Real Estate. I have a lot to learn in this space so would love to connect with everyone and hear their roles, projects, and ideas for continuing to help Utah become better. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if my skill set and experiences can help in any way! I’d love to contribute where I can and am looking forward to getting to know each of you.
