Golf Tournament Success
On Thursday, June 27, 2024, CREW Utah kicked off its inaugural annual golf tournament at the beautiful Eaglewood Golf Course. The day-long event featured a tournament, clinic, luncheon and afterparty, and was attended by almost 200 of some of the top Utah CRE professionals.
With an early morning check-in and shotgun start, the day began buzzing with great excitement and anticipation as participants drove off to their first holes. Our numerous tee sponsors provided fun-filled entertainment; our cart sponsor, Terracon, kept us all moving; and our drink cart sponsor, *Rand Construction, provided the fuel we needed to stay energized throughout the day. Out on the course, CREW Utah members found themselves evenly matched with new industry names and faces, generating what was widely remarked on as a refreshingly welcoming and fun tournament for all.
In tandem with the tournament, over a dozen aspiring golfers participated in the golf clinic. Participants walked away armed with fundamental golfing lessons and interest in golfing more in the future. As the tournament and clinic wrapped up and the luncheon commenced, CREW Utah President Gwen Knight welcomed and thanked all sponsors and participants, and spread the enthusiasm for CREW Utah annual golf tournaments for years to come.
Our tournament sponsor, Galloway Engineering, and luncheon sponsor, PSI Intertek, shared a brief message, after which we segued to the drawing of dozens of raffle prizes and tournament winners provided by our generous sponsors. CREW Utah concluded the day with a marvelous afterparty on the Eaglewood terrace, courtesy to our afterparty sponsor, Mohawk Group.
This tournament was designed to facilitate an environment for new business connections and fun to burgeon in our Utah CRE space. Based on overall participant feedback, we are proud to share that we were wildly successful in this endeavor.
Over $25,000 was raised to support the mission of CREW Utah - advancing and connecting women leaders in the CRE space. We wish to deeply thank all CREW Utah sponsors, participants and leaders who took part in and supported this inaugural tournament.
Finally, a tournament does not run itself, and a special shout-out is due to almost a dozen CREW Utah Golf Tournament committee volunteers that were integral to making this magic happen: Ashlee Bonham, Laurel Bennion, Sina Sharifan, Jody Niko, Felicia Saez, Kira Kaur, Tina Cheney, and Amy Makeever.
